Curriculum: Introduction To Philosophy & TNU's Education Approach
This curriculum outlines a course designed for undergraduates at Taongi National University. The course serves as a foundational introduction to key philosophical concepts and traditions, while simultaneously immersing students in TNU's core educational philosophy of philosophical higher criticism. Through this lens, we will treat classic philosophical texts not only as sources of abstract arguments but also as works of art and literature, examining the historical, social, and psychological contexts that shaped their form and content. Special emphasis will be placed on understanding how philosophical ideas are conveyed through distinct critical literary forms such as the dialogue, the aphorism, the treatise, and the meditative narrative.
